Ok I have been blessed and spent my entire life acne free. I maybe had a little zit pop up every now and then but in school I was called China Doll for my porcelain skin UNTIL the last couple months I have been getting a few zits BIG ones mainly on my forehead. I am so worried I will get one Day of...Can some1 PLEASE recommend a good face wash or cream. Obviously Stridex is for teens I'm like an old fart 25...lol.... What do you ladies use to prevent them??? TIA

I've actually had an acne problem for awhile...sadly, none of the washes I use ever work.
However, I won a free facial at Skin Deep (vendor on LIW) and when I went, I wound up purchasing a cleanser from them, along with a liquid you put on after.
It has worked wonders for me!
The line is called Glo Therapeutics. But you can check out their webpage and see what they have.

Try the Philosophy line. You can get it at Sephora. Its a LIL pricey, not too crazy, IMO. $20 for face wash (for the small size) $38 (a lil pricer) for the moisturizer. BUT SOOOOOOOOOOO amazing and light. The facewash is called Purity, it washes away EVER trace of makeup and leaves my skin soft and not dry. The moisturizer is called Hope In A Jar. AMAZING stuff. SOOOOOOOOOO light and doesnt leave me oily and doesnt feel heavy AT ALL.
I like you didnt start to break out and by that I mean a pimple here and a pimple there BUT its ANNOYING when its like every week, until my late 20's. ITS RIDICULOUS because its embarrassing considering Im in my 30's now!

Yeah everyone says it the weddign stress but I'm like Sheesh aren't I too old for pimples?? It's like 1 a week with me also..hmm maybe it is the wedding

I am using it more religiously since Tuesday and it is working great....for me. Considering you have had great skin all along (up until now of course) it may work even better.
They are located in Melville, off of Route 110 near the Northern State. Not sure where you are located.

Usually any OIL- FREE face wash will work just give it some time. Witch Hazel is really good to use.

Its funny you made this post because I was just talking to FH about making the same one...I am having the same problem! I have NEVER had a problem with pimple... maybe one here and there but I am a MESS the past few months! I have even been getting them on my chest here and there =( Here I am 28 years old with pimples like a 14 yr old! lol. So any recommendations would help me as well!!! =)
I can tell you this for somewhat quick results for pimples I use neutrogena on the spot acne treatment at night.. and it makes them less red and they go away fairly quickly.

I def recomend ProActiv, or just buy Benzoyl peroxide which is what is in ProActiv. Apply that everytime you have a pimple,also Cetaphil is great face wash bc it is not a harsh and drying keeps your skin smooth
I would not use any face wash with Sacilic acid
If you have insurance I would just go to a Demo see what they tell you

I could do that but I honestly have ZERO time before the wedding to even go see one It's going to have to be over the counter products till after the wedding for me.

It turns out I needed an antibiotic b/c I had an infection in my skin (gross!! I know). You may want to see a Dr. I waited and wish I had not b/c my skin is 100x better in just under a week.

I think an infection is a rare case. I have been stressed recently and the weather isnt helping so I KNOW Thats why Ive been having any issues. Once the initial hit of summer comes and its hot and I sweat more, I tend to break out and then once my skin balances out Im fine. So its just the initial hit of my skin going from super dry in the winter to oilier in the summer. So I know I just try to wash my face twice, I use a toner once a day (sephora brand $4 and AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEE) Best toner I EVER used and just moisturize and try not to touch my face and ALSO BEST TIP I ever got and I GIVE to EVERYONE- wipe your cell phone down with an alcohol pad!!! You dont realize what lives on there and you press it to your face OVER and OVER!

I highly recommend the Neutrogena Acne Stress Control line of products.
I use the foaming face cleanser in the shower every morning and the stronger cleanser every night before bed. I haven't had a serious break-out in months with this routine!!! (I hope I didn't just jinx myself... lol)

Stress is often a trigger of skin issues. But if this is unusual for you I would see a dermatologist. I go to Pamela Basuk in Bayshore she makes her own cleanser its on the expensive side but it works wonders!

I have been cursed with awful skin. I've had acne since I was 9, and at 24, it is showing no signs of slowing, and I truly feel I will have it the rest of my life.
That being said, I'm currently using the Neutrogena 3 piece acne set. It doesn't work.
Before that I used the Philosophy acne kit. It kept it at bay pretty well, but it was too expensive to continue with the wedding costs.
I used Proactive, but it never fully cleared, and eventually I built up a tolerance. Went to doctor as a young teen, was on pills, creams, you name it, nothing worked.
Wish I could be more help, but can't in good faith recommend anything I've used, because for me, it simply hasn't worked.
Since you don't have severe acne, I think the Philosophy will work great for you.
