Sorta wedding-related vent

So as some of you know, I started WW in April in last year. I started it because of a cancer scare and decided that I was going to do all I could to control the health of my body, and just go for repeated doctor visits to make sure that anything NOT in my control would be kept in check.

When I started WW, I also started working out. I got engaged in December, and by then had gotten to the Lifetime point in WW.

So how come NOW people around me are all full of comments about how I'm working out so much 'because you're a bride-to-be'? Umm...no. I reached my effing goal weight before I even knew he was looking at engagement rings! I did this for MYSELF and MY HEALTH LAST FRIGGING YEAR.



And on an unrelated note, people think we're weird for wanting to go to Nova Scotia for the honeymoon. (Okay, yeah, we ARE weird...but still!)
FH and I aren't really beach people. While an all-inclusive resort would be nice, we'd probably be bored after a couple of days. And our wedding is in June - we've always been a fan of going somewhere warm when it's cold in NYC. Since the Caribbean is a short flight away, yeah, I could see us going there for maybe a 3-night kind of stay in the winter. But we love natural wonders and watching animals in their habitat...not that I have to justify that to ANYONE but really...people that have known me FOREVER seem shocked at this.

I'm just venting here about pretty much superficial issues. And I have my monthly visitor and the idiots in the deli made my coffee wrong this morning, so I'm sure THAT has a lot to do with this.
