it hasn't been a problem for me but FH is having a hard time (yeah we're on day 2). I gotta make his lunch for work tomorrow. Today his lunch bag was - grilled chicken sliced with a little balsamic and sliced sun dried tomatoes, snacks were - baby carrots, celery sticks, edamame, sliced cucumbers, and a scoop of veggie tuna no mayo. he said it was tough because the snacks were 'no fun' (he used to have triscuits, a stick of string cheese, pretzels, and two granola bars). I know 12 hours is a long time to go with no fun but i'm clueless here!
Anyone??
TIA

Re: south beach diet meal-ish suggestions?
on south beach you actually arent supposed to haved carrots in the first 2 weeks bc they are starchy
and you can have string cheese (get reduced fat ones) ---you can eat as much cheese as you want but they recommend getting ff or reduced fat
nuts are also good snacks on south beach

whoops - see this is what happens when a guy does the food shopping and the diet-book reading! he thought it was just fruit. great. i had like 5000 baby carrots today! thanks for letting me know though.
i think we have almonds, i'll give him some of them!
he bought ff feta, i just would have to get really creative. he claims its difficult to eat in a car.

when we did south beach a few years back the first two weeks sckued!!!
make him turkey burgers (no bun), grilled chicken, lean pork always with veggies. steam them first then put them in the oven to broil. it tast so yummy that way.
oh and get some sugar pops and jello
one sugar free jello is like 10calories
