South Beach for Bachelorette party...

I was just there in May.

First, just be prepared - the living expenses are very pricey. I lived in Manhattan for a long time, and I was still in sticker shock over the prices of everything in SB.

With that said, none of us were on a super limited budgeted and we were able to have a GREAT time! If you like Greek food, go to Taverna Opa. It's a family style greek restaurant. After dinner, everyone dances on tables to greek music and the waiters run around throwing napkins in the air (as opposed to the more dangerous option of breaking plates). The drinks were great too.

I got sick one night and my friends went to Automatic Slim's, which was a cheaper option instead of Mansion. They had a great time.

We ate at Sushi Siam, which had Japanese and Thai food and was on Lincoln Road. It was GREAT and they had lunch specials. Great wine too. And directly across the street was a gelati place, which was also AWESOME.

I'm trying to remember now the names of the other places we went and I'm blanking. If you FM me and tell me which of these your interested in, I'll ask my friends if they remember the names...we did karaoke in a hotel bar (probably the most fun thing we did, it was AWESOME), we drank tequila poolside served by a waiter at a ridiculously upscale hotel (already drunk by this point and not realizing that we were buying $25 shots), we ate mexican food for lunch (sooooo good)....I'll try to think of more!

Tapas Y Tintos is great on Espanola. Tapas and sangria. They usually have flamenco dancers. Lots of fun.

Great Italian @ La Locanda which is on 4th street and washington.

Miss Yip is Chinese and turns into a cool lounge @ night.

Get mani's and pedis at Browne's Beauty Lounge where they pamper you and put slices of oranges and lemons in the water for your pedi.

A great hotel that has pretty good rates is the Townhouse Hotel which is right next door to The Shore Club Hotel. There is also Bond Street restaurant in the hotel.

I just came back from there this weekend. We stayed at The Strand on Ocean Drive. The suites were really nice, they have a rooftop pool and the beach is right there. In terms of meals there were so many restaurants on Ocean Drive and they all had good food so we just chose a different one for different meals. We shopped on Collins Ave, which is right behind Ocean Dr. There's everything from Express to Intermix to Gucci.

In terms of clubs there's Sobe Live, Mansion, Bed, Prive, and there are people passing out flyers and VIP tix all over so you'll be able to set something up. There's also the Clevelander, Wet Willies and Fat Tues-they offer fruity drinks starting at 4 with music and dancing. HTH!
