Spa 85 in Bay Shore

Has anyone ever been here at all or for a Bachelorette party?
I think we are considering it for my friend's 'spa-day'..any feedback? TIA

Oh My brother works right by them and most of the women at his job go there. So far they all have been positive (about waxing and facials...)

I do not usually do this unless I feel I have something to say, but I booked my make-up trial at Spa 85 and it was the worst salon experience I've ever had. And I'm a cosmetologist so I've been on both sides of the spectrum. First of all I had an appointment at 9:00 with the owner, Glory. She did not come out of the back until 9:30 then she said ok come to my chair so I can see your hair and I said you know this is a make-up trial right. She said oh, well we have you in for a consultation so do you have any questions. As if I would make an appointment to just ask questions. I said I thought this was a make-up trial, I had my mother and sister with me to help decide and keep me company. And she says oh well a make-up trial is where we actually put the make-up on you. And I said well this is what its supposed to be, so she goes in the back for another 10 minutes and all of sudden she said the make-up artist had a cancellation so I can go in. First of all, don't make me feel like you're doing me a favor when I made this appointment weeks ago and confirmed it myself twice because I didn't have a good feeling about this from the beginning. So waiting another 10 minutes, I decide after looking at all the old, dusty makeup and cramped room and mixed up confusion that I should go. I politely told them apparently this is not working out today on either end and I will call if I decide to use you in the future, which I will not. I also made this appointment on Valentine's Day on purpose so I feel beautiful all day, so now here I am at 9:45 after waiting around with no make-up on. It was just by far my worst experience and I would never recommend this place after the way I was treated and I see the way they treated clients after they left. There was too much whispering and gossip for me to take this place seriously. The cheaper price is because of their cheap quality, value and convenience. Good luck to anyone who goes there, hopefully this does not happen to you.
