~Spain~

Girls who have been to Spain,....any advice on where to go, what to see? FH and I are interested in making it our honeymoon and we've just begun to do some research.

i totally second barcelona it's BEAUTIFUL you can check out the olympic area, all the the Gaudi architecture and Gaudi park, the duomo, las ramblas, there are tons of great restaurants you can't go wrong with sangria and tappas

I have been to all of italy, Paris and studied in Spain for a semester (in santander) and spain was by far the best! Barcelona is the best city in Europe hands down..also check out mallorca,Ibiza and the basque region...I would have gone for my HM but I figured its not fair to FH...I wanted to go somewhere we've both haven't been...so we are doing a greek islands cruise with venice, croatia & turkey thrown in..

You will love Barcelona..Gaudi Park, la sagrada familia, the beaches the food..it's the best!!!

oh, thats so exciting to hear...thanks for the info.

we've both done Italy and Ireland so for the honeymoon we'd like to do Spain and maybe (fingers crossed) on the way back, Paris.

Please keep any tips, restaurants, sights coming....very much appreciate it!

I studied abroad in Granada and absolutely loved it. The Alhambra is beautiful, and the cathedral and other architecture is great. I would go to Toledo, Barcelona, Granada, and Sevilla. I didn't love Madrid when I was there, but the Prado and the Royal Palace are definitely worth a visit. The southern beach area, the Costa del Sol, is very, very touristy. I mean, I would never go back there but maybe that was just the town I was in. You're going to have an amazing time, I loved it there!

also Palma de Mallorca is also gorgeous it's an island off of Spain near Barcelona, they have really cool underground caves and fabulous beaches sorry I could go on forever just absolutely loved Spain when I was there lol

Barcelona!!!! Its grogeous and the perfect place for a honeymoon. The food is excellent! tapas and sangria (yummy!) I studied abroad in Madrid but I spent some time in Barcelona and LOVED it. madrid is also wonderful but a lot more city like and less relaxing, so its up to in what you are looking for in a honeymoon.

I'm here right now. Yeah, I'm a loser but I can FM you when I get back. We are on a Globus Tour and right now are in torremolinos. We just got back from Gibraltar which was really cool We saw Northern Africa today from there!
