Just wondering if any of you ladies ever wore them? Are they really as miracle-working as I've heard? If so, are they comfortable? If I wear one under my gown, would teh corset go under or over it? How the heck would I get them down and up to use the bathroom?

Re: Spanx
I HAVE WIORN THEM BEFORE. THE BRA WOULD GO OVER THEM. They are tight and can be a pain the a$$ with a gown on but I think I am wearing them anyway instead of stockings

Re: Spanx
They are just like control top panty hose without going all the way down the leg. The suck you in super well! I would put them on before the corset, and then just pull 'em down when you need to use the restroom....

Re: Spanx
I would want the one that goes up to below the boob area....I'd have to undo my entire dress to get it off then : ( Maybe they aren't a good idea after all.

Re: Spanx
i think it depends on your dress...in my opinion, they are more of a 'smoother' and don't give as much support as a corset would...if your dress top is a corset and has support already i think you should be fine...i know which spanx you are talking about, i wore them underneath a dress last summer once and i was hot and the panty part kept riding up on me...just my experience

I'm wearing them right now and I love them. It's also helping me lose weight believe it or not.
They really smooth my stomach down and they go over my corset bra for my dress. They are also crotchless which makes going to the bathroom easier.

Re: Spanx
The have a smoothing one but they also have one that makes you lose at least an inch, I had a dress that didnt zip about an inch and the spanx made it zip right up. I researched online which one was good for what I needed and then went to Lord and Taylor to get it

I went to Blum's in Patchogue. They even have sample pairs for you to try on so you know what size you will be. Don't be fooled by the samples though. The ones you get will suck you in more. The samples are just stretched from over use.
I loved that store. They helped me so much to find the right size bra and everything for my dress and for every day. Plus, they have bathing suits that are designed by cup size, not S,M,L,XL.

They have crotchless ones so you don't have to take them off to go to the bathroom. Never wore them but I know they make them like that.
