I have a corset type bra for the wedding (with hooks in the back and bones) I definitely now need sometype of control on the bottom since I uh filled out a little and my dress is form fitting. I was thinking of getting spanx. I've always had bad experiences with these types of undergarments since I have bigger hips and thighs they tend to roll. (Thanks to my spanish decent)....so anyways. Do You think I should get spanx and wear them with the bra...or just get the spanx that go up to the bra line (regular bra) and wear that?

just make sure you get the spanx that go up to under the boob that with the corset will hold everythign in and the corset bra won't let the spanx roll down

I would have to agree. I just wore a pair of spanx under my shower outfit and the top kept rolling down.

I have some crazy hips and a small waist- so I am wearing Spanx, then my slip [I have an A-line gown] and then my long line bra/corset on top. It smooths everything out and holds in my hips!!

same here... i would do both the corset and the spanx that come right up under the bust.

I just bought some Spanx, the biker-short type thing, not up to the boob, not below the knee (dont' remember the name). While they are fairly comfortable, they do tend to roll, and they don't have the holding power of some of my other undergarments (I have some Jerzees that could choke an elephant). I like them, I really do, but they're not perfect. It all depends on how much hold you need as opposed to what you can get away with. Spanx are what I'm going to use if I can, but I have better control garments.

Definitely get the ones that go under your bra...unless you get a size bigger in the spanx, they will tend to roll over and fall down, which is probably not the effect that you intended

I LOVE my spanx!!! I wear them whenever I wear a skirt. I have the ones that go under the boob and they don't move! HTH
