If you are, approx how much are they for x amt?

If you aren't why not?

I want to see everyone's thoughts on this!

Thanks Ladies~!~!!

Re: Sparklers?

I think it would be a great idea in theory.... but if I did it, I can either see it falling over and going into the cake, me burning myself....or guests thinking 'Ughhhh okay now what do I do with this thing' lol I think its a great touch- if done correctly lol

Re: Sparklers?

Im going to think about it for a while. But I want to know what everyone else thinks about it.

i have a good site and they REALLY aren't too expensive!!!! Hmm.

Im thinking about the guest cake one... or the one for the end of the night as we are leaving. I think it would be cute pics of the sparklers near the trolley. what to do what to do? hahaha.

Re: Sparklers?

Yeah that sounds dangerous to me. They make me nervous when I am in jeans, big white dress and sparking candles, no thanks.

Re: Sparklers?

Nov can be quite windy so I would take that into consideration.

But you will have a gorgeous, non windy day of course.

Re: Sparklers?

I actually really wanted to do sparklers but my mom and FH weren't feeling it. My mom thought it was cheesy and unless I was getting married on july 4th, not to do it! And fh is always against me spending more money lol. But I honestly love them! I like how its different from the bubbles! I was going to do it towards the end and also thought it would make awesome pics! Another reason I'm not doing it, having a destination wedding, can't carry them, would have had to ship them to the hotel and the quanties I needed were off.

Re: Sparklers?

My cousin used sparklers as she walked out of the church instead of throwing rice, petals, etc. It looked really nice and no one got burned or lit her dress on fire or anything like that. She got married in Dec so by the time her ceremony was over, it was dark so it looked really nice.

I am thinking of taking pics with the sparklers with my bridal party after the reception or whenever it gets dark. Maybe even as we are leaving at the end of the night.

Re: Sparklers?

'08er crashing.

The restaurant where we had our reception provides these giant sparklers for certain desserts so when we saw them we had to have them.

We got married 4th of July weekend so it was perfect.

Re: Sparklers?

I love the idea but we aren't doing them because our RH doesn't allow them. Some RH's will actually do them for you...you should ask them.

Re: Sparklers?

I really want to do them, but I haven't asked if they're allowed at my RH yet. I was thinking at the very least we could do just the bridal party towards the end...they look so pretty in pictures

Re: Sparklers?

it would be really cool if you did it when you and your DH were leaving. Makes for great photo ops. I would get worried if it was on the cake, I'm not sure how much ash is going to get on the cake.

Since your wedding is in Nov. I would wait around 4th of July and get them at a discount.

Re: Sparklers?

we are doing sparklers... our ceremony is outside in the RH gazebo and before the ceremony we will have them out in a basket for people to take and light for us on the walk down the aisle (the aisle and chairs are pretty far apart) and they will have a note with something like 'light the way for the newlyweds' or something cheesy like that ... they werent expensive. I got them here.

Re: Sparklers?

I am getting married in December and when i come out of the church it will be dark. I was also considering sparklers for the guests to hold as my fiance and I walk out of the church. I have seen pictures and it looks beautiful. I have the same concerns..about any part of the sparkler getting on the dress and staining it...not even the fire part! what do you think? do you think sparks would hit the dress and leave a mark?
