Speaking of Bachelorette Parties....

Speaking of Bachelorette Parties....

I was just talking to my sis yesterday about that whole FSIL not involving herself in anything ordeal and she said that while she was still working with her FSIL was all into the bachelorette party. I mean like trying to find ideas.

So she hasn't spoken to me about the wedding but the bachelorette party is going to be the highlight of her year? She was talking to my sister about strip clubs and passion parties and stuff like that. Everyone who knows me knows I'm NOT into that stuff. Plus, most of my bridal party (and the people I'm closer to) is under 21 with a few under 18. Not really the cup of tea I was expecting.

But who told her she was even in charge of planning it? My sis (MOH) knows that I want something a bit more low-key and don't want to be receiving sex toys from anyone. Especially FSIL who will have 4 kids by the time of the party. Anyone see something wrong with this or is it just me??

seems like you need to have a talk with FSIL, i would let her know what you expect for your bachlorette party and then tell her it would great to help MOH out in planning it.

that way you put her in her place, and still let her 'help'

no, i think it's relatively common. i have friends that i don't talk to for months and then i talk to them and they are like when and where is your bach party?? like it's all they care about. I'm like, oh thanks, the wedding planning is going great oh and school is good to thanks for asking

but i'm surprised that she's married with kids and excited for strippers etc. My friends who ask are all single and looking to hook up

Yikes. Since your MOH knows what you like she should take care of it. She knows who is in the BP, what is appropriate and what would be perfect for you.

I don't get her at all. I think (unfortunately) your sis is going to have to be the one to say, 'No, we're not doing that.'

I think you should let your MOH handle her....

Don't get involved b/c then it may start drama...

Right, I haven't said anything to her bc I think it will somehow get FH upset or get them two into a little arguement.... so my sis is trying to handle some things that FSIL has brought up to her....
