Re: Speaking of breast cancer-prayers please
I just spoke with my parents. The surgery went fine. They removed the whole breast and I thinka lymph node. Grandma's awake and doing fine. The on;y problem is that she had this mass for years without telling anyone about it, and it got very very severe and the cancer has spread throughut her body. She is 85, but since her vitals are all very good (she's one tough lady) they are looking into various treatment options. Im also worried about what happens now after the surgery. My dad's the youngest and my uncle, his eldest brother has been in charge of taking care of her and to him that meant stopping her form seeing the doctor we'd be bringing to her or taking her medication. it was my parents who finally brought her to the hospital last week. He wants to take her to another state where he lives, and I don't know if that's really the best for her. She has severe memory loss and gets really confused when taken out of her surroundings. Plus he lives in the middle of nowhere and he woudlnt even visit her much, and it will be hard for any of us to get to her, so I'm praying that we can find a better solution, because I really don't think her care should be left up to him. He wanted to get her declared incompetent so he could take over, now that she's in the hospital and people are seeing how neglected she was, he's trying to say how competent she is, so he doens't get blamed for her not getting medical care sooner. (We had her seeing a doctor and he didn't want her seeing him for some reason. She's also very stubborn, but sometimes, as my parents did, you just have to take over and do what's best for her)
