Speaking of car seats?

Speaking of car seats?

My sisters are all older than me and some of the kids are up there in age. I remember when they were infants, they would have them in their seats in the front seat, sitting facing away from the window. Is it still done that way? Is it safe with the airbags in all the cars now?

OMG KIDS GO IN THE BACK SEAT!!!!! FACING BACKWARDS UNTIL THEY ARE 1 year AND 20lbs!!!!! Cars with airbags have warnings on them. They are dangerous for kids under 12.

That is what I thought. I knew it had changed I just wanted to make sure. It's unbelievable how much things change. How many years they were doing it the other way and probably never even realized the danger.

I remember growing up and not having to wear a seatbelt. Kids would jump around the car.. it was ok. not anymore.

I still see that sometimes. I am not sure what some people are thinking, or if at all. You see kids like 3-4 yrs old jumping around the car. It scares the he** out of me!

My parents had me in the front seat, on the actual seat sleeping when I was an infant Car seats were not an everyday thing then.

Back seat, rear facing is for infants. Front seats are not even for young children. Air bags can kill them.
