How well do you dance? lol

I'm not a ball room dancer, but I'm an Irish Dance teacher, I had one 'student' who was getting married and knew her family would dance traditional set dances and she wanted to learn basics. After one lesson she did not come back. She became too overwhelmed because she only signed on for 5 or 6 lessons and she was not getting the BASIC step down and felt that she wouldn't learn it in 6 classes so why waste the money.

So.. Irish is different from other forms of dance, as this is your H/W first dance it's usually just side step side step front step back step, so I'm thinking it would take you about 5 lessons to learn and 8 to perfect. But you wouldn't want to crunch, like my 'student' did. give yourself enough time to LEARN the dance and practice on your own time and if you need extra lessons, you'll have time to make them rather then stress that there's no time.
