This is kind of weird. Remember a few weeks ago how I posted that a psycho ex co-worker of mine (and current co-worker of my sister) randomly decided to go to BBB, try to find out if I had a registry there, and when was told that I did and was given a print out, started to talk smack about the nerve I had for asking for an appetizer tray 'in these hard economic times'?
Well, right after I found this out, the tray went fulfilled off the registry. I assumed that my sister bought it as a Christmas gift, because it went off the day after our eparty, where she found out we were registered and said it was 'good to know'.
So christmas came and went, and we exchanged our gifts, and here's the weird thing...my sister DID get us two appetizer trays, but from BJ's, not even off the registry! So this gift is completely unaccounted for, and everyone who knows that we're registered there has already exchanged with us.
Do you think this woman was spiteful and pathetic enough to purchase it off of the registry for HERSELF just so that it would come off and I wouldn't get it??? I totally wouldn't be surprised because that's the kind of petty nut she is...could you even imagine? Like short of interrogating all my friends and family, what else can I do?

Re: Speaking of registries...
well that sounds pretty scary.
I know Macys keeps a listing off all the things bought off your registry with the names of who bought what for you. It's kind of a courtesy they do to keep track of who bought you what gift. Maybe you can find out it BBB does the same thing so u can see who bought it.

Re: Speaking of registries...
I don't think there's a way to ask...I know that all the registries I've bought from at BBB, they've never asked me for my name, or any other documentation, so I can't see how there would be a way to keep track. It's just kind of scary to think that really any nut off the street could do that.

Re: Speaking of registries...
That would be insane... Like, commit her to an institution becuase she has serious problems insane!
Would she have possibly bought you the dish as a present to be phony nice?? I am really trying to give this nut job the benefit of the doubt here even thought it doesn't seem like she deserves it!

Re: Speaking of registries...
I don't think she would buy it as a gift for me...we haven't seen or spoken to each other in a year, and I left the job on very bad terms, which she was the cause of. IF she did buy it...I would immediately return it or exchange it, because I would seriously be afraid that she did something to it like poured rat poison on it lol. But I really highly doubt that she purchased it as a legitimate, sincere gift.

Then with that being said I find it hard to believe that anyone else coincidentally bought you that gift! Did you tell anyone else the story of this woman and the tray?? Maybe someone else bought it on purpose to be funny?

OK... just read that u quit... if you still want them, i would add another one to your registry just in case, you can always return multiples for cash.

Haha let's do it!
Seriously though, it's not like I even NEED the gift now and I'm being greedy, I don't even really need it now that I have the xmas gifts from my sister. It's more just the thought that someone would do something weird like that. The only other person I can think of it my one BM, who said to me that she bought herself a bunch of the B. Smith collection as a gift to herself, the same ones I had on my registry...so either she bought an extra one for me and just didn't give it to me when we saw each other at Christmas, or she accidentally had it come off the registry...I don't know, I don't want to flat out ask her, but if it wasn't her, then there's absolutely nobody else that did it.

Re: Speaking of registries...
You should buy ANOTHER one and send it to her, just to be a smart a$$.
I would just leave it off and use a gift card to buy it. There are always lazy/last minute people who get gift cards for your shower.
Or you can add it back on and then if you get 2, return the other one.

No, nobody else could have purchased it to mess with me, because it was fulfilled literally the day my sister told me what she had said. There wasn't even enough time for me to tell anybody the story and for them to have a cute idea like that to mess with me.
It's just freaking me out...

Re: Speaking of registries...
well i just left a message for my friend flat out asking her LOL, i have no shame.
Depending on what she tells me, and she better not lie to me, I'm definitely going to march myself up to BBB and demand they go into their system to try and track this down. I wish that they had a password protect to purchase off it too, because it really is scary that somebody could mess around with you like that.

Re: Speaking of registries...
Oh she definetly bought it lol..you should put quantity to 2 so that way you can actually get one. I know Target and Macys does keep the persons name if they didnt pay in cash. maybe you can ask bbb if they have the name of who bought it.
