speaking of wedding cake...

speaking of wedding cake...

the Rolling Pin bakery screwed up some of our flavors for our wedding cake.

we were supposed to have marble cake - ended up with all vanilla cake.

we were supposed to have a white chocolate mousse filling and chocolate mousse filling in each tier - they gave us white choc mousse and another filling that tasted like a coffee flavored mousse (no where near as dark colored as the choc mousse should have been).

i don't know where the disconnect happened because the order was written down correctly on all the papers i saw.

do you think i should mention anything to the bakery? it really wasn't a big problem at all because the outside of the cake was just how we wanted it. but i just don't understand how the flavors and the cake itself got mixed up.

if you want to get something from them (a refund or whatnot) then tell them about it ... otherwise, let it go

well yeah that's the only reason i would mention it, just to see if i can get something out of it lol - we did have to pay a little bit extra to have a square vs. round cake. just dont know if it would even be worth it to bring it up though.

id say go ask for a refund! Since u paid extra for the shape, at least get that as a consolation.

Say something, maybe you'll get a free mini cake. I'm such a fatty lately.

I would mention it just b/c they should know they messed up...if they don't already. Ya know? sometimes you cannot oversee all of your employees and mistakes happen. the best way to help control that is to bring it to their attention. If you get something out of it...even better.
