special dances

OK, so i was set on skipping these dances for a few reasons (i dont have a father to dance with, i didnt want to chase people off the dance floor for them bc there are a lot of distractions from dancing already as guests will be looking at the fishies too, and bc my fi hates dancing with everyone watching)...that being said, i know my fmil really want her special dance with her son...i dont think she is happy settling with just dancing with him, but she wants it announced and the floor cleared...sooooooooooooooooooo...

we could have our special dances and i can dance with my brothers (i have 5, but 3 will def be there at the reception)...i would dance one song and have them cut in one by one...do you think this would work?

what are good songs to dance with your brothers with, we aren't super close so nothing too mushy...??? maybe 'you've got a friend in me'?

also, when do these dances typically take place?

thanks~lacey

Re: special dances

I think that is a nice idea to dance with your brothers. i know it must be hard for you, but if your fmil wants her dance she should get it. Her little boy only gets married once.

Sorry i don't have any song suggestions

Re: special dances

I like the song suggestion you had - also how about WInk and a Smile by Harry Connick Jr. - its cheery. MY FH's sister danced with her 4 bros and had them each cut in throughout the song. I think thats a sweet idea.

I think that is a great idea.
