Since I have been engaged, I have lost all 3 of my grandparents, most recently my grandfather. I am trying to find a special way of remembering them at the wedding and wanted to get some ideas.

well what were gonna do is leave seats empty in the front in memory of them at the ceremony and also make memory candles for them with their pictures on it

Since I've gotten engaged I've lost my grandpa and aunt and FH has lost one of his grandpas too.. But i want to honor those who have passed before then too, such as both of my grandmas and uncle.. we'll probably have a memory table with a poem and pictures of all of the people we've lost.

Check out Jean m website they have some items that could help you. I beleive they have rose with in loving memory on them that you can put in you reception hall, and i believe candles to. I would post pics but my work computer is all messes up.

At the beginning of the ceremony, FH and I are planning on having a moment of silence for ppl who could not attend for whatever reason. Our officiant said this is a good way to remember those who are no longer with us and keep in mind those that could not travel so far without bringing down the mood of the ceremony.
We'll probably leave empty seats in the front with single roses as well.

I bought a memorial candle and I'm going to have pictures of those who passed away around the candle with a poem
We plan on putting something in the programs, but during the reception we will have our RH set up a very small table with a setting (plate facing down), circling it with tea lights and sprinkling it with rose petals. This will be specifically for the people we have lost--FH is a Marine who was deployed twice so we've lost not only family, but friends as well. They also did this for the Marine Corp Ball as a way to honor those who lost their lives and could not be with us.

We (FH & I) are doing an In-Memory Vase with 3 Roses, 1 Yellow Rose for FHs Mother ( Yellow Roses were her Fav.) 2 White Roses for My Mother & Father.

We also have a Memory Vase with some writing on it. We also plan on putting 3 Roses. 1 for FH's grandmother, 1 for his Aunt, and 1 for my grandfather!!! Not sure of the colors yet. Defintely Pink for his Aunt. She passed away from Breast Cancer

MY friend got married about 3 months after losing his father. He had a special note in his program mentioning his father and then during the ceremony him & his bride put a bouquet by the statue of the Blessed Mother.

My mom told me that she heard you can pin a closed rose at the end of your train for each person you have lost. I think that sounds so nice and I am going to do it for my grandparents.

We (Me and FH)are lighting a candle with the Priest during the ceremony. It looks just like the Unity Candle. He is going to read names of our lost loved ones.
