Re: SPEECH
I have been to weddings where they both make a speech. But I have also been to weddings where only the BM makes the speech. I think it is up to you.

Re: SPEECH
Is it up to the bride? Or to the person making the speech?

Re: SPEECH
I did a speech at my sisters wedding as well as the best man. I will be doing both as well. The majority of the time I've only seen the best man do it so I guess it's really up to you.

Re: SPEECH
My Matron and Best Man are both saying something. If you don't want your MOH to say something at the reception, you can ask her to say something at the rehearsal dinner. It's completely up to you!

Re: SPEECH
can I tell you the funniest first line I have heard by a MOH?? I saw the line in one of the Bride magazines and I actually told a MOH to use it as the first line in her speech -- people really laughed. She said, for my speech I would like Michael to put your hand of Sarah's. Then she waited and said, Michael -- this will be the last time you ever have the upper hand in your relationship. LOL LOL

Re: SPEECH
at least 3 of the last weddings I went to had both the MOH and best man speak. My sister is the MOH at my wedding. I would love for her to speak, but I don't want to pressure her into it. I am leaving it up to her.

Re: SPEECH
I am doign both. Especially since my FBIL is not good at speaking infront of people...my MOH should make up for it! I think it's a great touch!

Re: SPEECH
Yes. That is fine, at my sisters wedding I was a bridesmaid and I ended up doing the toast. The MOH got cold feet . The BM and grooms dad also made a toast . At my wedding, I'll probably have both MOH & BM speak. My sister already told that she would like to speak too.
