I know this has been posted before.. BUT, now it's my turn to ask :)
We want to do some toasts/speeches at the RD to keep it is a minimum at the wedding..
Who says what and where- either RD or Wedding??
I need to get it figured out for my band meeting.. I also want to see what parents want to make speeches, etc.
I have my parents who are divorced- so that's two, FH's parents.. 2 MOHs 2 Best Men And I have one bro and FH has one bro (best man) and one sis

Re: Speeches-- whose in and whose out?
My FH and I just thanked our families and friends at our RD. At the wedding the 2 best men, MOH and my brother gave speeches.

I would do as many speeches as you want at the RD. After all...its just a sit-down dinner, with no entertainment so your guests shouldn't mind there being so many speeches. Then at the wedding just have your MOH and/or BM make their speeches.

Re: Speeches-- whose in and whose out?
I never heard of the MOH giving a speech until mine told me she wanted to. Which is great... but it means I have to give one at hers and I am NOT good at that stuff.
But I digress...
MOH BM possibly father of bride and/or groom?

We are having the Best Man and Maid of Honor. That's it.

Re: Speeches-- whose in and whose out?
I thought it was typical for the father's to say something.. and the groom to thank everyone for coming..
I want to use the RD as like an 'open mic' night if you will..
So maybe I will have MOH at RD (I have two but one will have just given birth- so we'll see what she makes it to)
Siblings at RD
Best Men at Wedding
Parents- at their discretion..

Re: Speeches-- whose in and whose out?
I've only heard the Best Man doing a speech, but went to wedding reacently where the MOH did one too.
Do you ask these people ahead of time? I feel funny asking people to 'toast' us, ya know?
