I was wondering if anyone is using or has used them. I was in a wedding where they were the photographers and they were great. I heard that they were expensive, but I wonder what exactly expensive means. Does anyone have any info? Thanks!!
I met with theem, I think their packages start around $5,000. Their pictures were amazing, but I didn't want to spend that for pictures.
I checked them out april 03 and they were in the 3-5K range depending on the package you got - but on thing we found was that you could not negotiate your package if you didn't need items (we only wanted one parent album) you could only add to them and we didn't like the fact that they would be all digital by the time of the wedding

I used Spelman, as did my MOH before me. DH & I absolutely LOVE our pictures and found them very easy to work with, during the planning process, during the wedding as well as planning and receiving our album. They were without a doubt our favorite vendor. We felt that it was worth spending a little more on pictures, since that's all you have after the day is over. But that was just our theory. You need to set your own priorities and set your budget accordingly.

I have Spellman booked for my wedding next week. We booked them in 6/03 and their prices were 3.5-5K. We were able to negotiate within our package. Christine has been wonderful to work with so far, and we are really excited about using them.
We are using them and while they are pricey, pictures are the one thing you will have the rest of your life, so I believe in spending a lot on that. Obviously, my wedding hasn't passed yet so I cannot give a full review, but even FI was wowed by them when we went looking for photographers and he didn't like anyone. They have been a dream to deal with thus far.
