If you ARE NOT going on an all-inclusive HM, how much are you bringing for spending $$$$ (or how much do you plan on spending) and for how long? We are trying to decide if all-inclusive is all it's cracked up to be.

Re: Spending$$$$ for HM . . .
I haven't resolved this yet.
Normally I allow $200 a day minimum on my vacations. But for the HM I was expecting to put aside about $250 a day at the least maybe up to $300 if I can manage it. But I like to toss money around when Im 'out'. This doesn't include the Spa treatment I'm getting. This does include food and BS stuff. I see really no need for more than $200 a day but knowing Jim we'll probably end up with a suitcase full of junk to bring home!!!!!!

I had a friend that went to Cancun and didnt get the all inclusive and said that he regreted not buying the more expensive all-inclusive package because it turned out that he ended up spending more... Personally, I love all-inclusive

Re: Spending$$$$ for HM . . .
I think we're looking to spend about $3000 in 2 weeks in Mexico, one week in Acapulco and one week in Puerto Vallarta. It may be less, it may be more. We're not paying for our HM, we're using my parents time shares and they gave us miles for our airfare, so we're not overly concerned with spending money. As far as all-inclusives go, I've always found them to be well worth the money. But in all honesty, FH and I like to drink, so we usually drink our money's worth!
