So I asked my FH to start calling people who haven't responded to the wedding yet just to remind them that the wedding RSVP date past. One of the people was his groomsman from Washington. I get a text a few minutes later from my FH telling me that the groomsman can't afford to buy a plane ticket out here and can't afford to rent a tux.. so of course I feel awful for ym FH because this is his friend since highschool and all. I told him to tell his friend not to worry about it and that we will buy him his ticket and pay for his tux. I did both of them this afternoon and it ended up being almost $600!!
I know I did the right thing..but why does the right thing have to be so freakin expensive!!!

It is a nice thing you did for your FH.. I don't get why he didn't tell you earlier that he couldn't afford to come etc.. I understand money is a personal issue and all, but I would have declined being in the party with regret but been upfront.. Then not to let you guys know even after the deadline, is just strange to me. Your kindness will mean alot to your FH.

I kinda agree.. I wish we would have known sooner.. but oh well. If he wasn't important to my FH then he would have never asked him to be a groomsman..so I had to make sure I did what I could to make our day a special day for him too..
