I was planning on having my BM in different dresses (same color, fabric, designer). I'm having 9 girls (3 sisters, 3 cousins, 3 friends). I figured my sisters and older cousin would wear something longer, and my younger cousins and friends were wear shorter ones. I haven't completely decided yet.
Someone mentioned in the previous thread that it may look a little off if it's a lot of girls. Does anyone have any other suggestions?? or have been in a large bridal party with different dresses?
Now I'm a little worried. But nothing's set in stone yet.

I dont think i like the idea of different lengths w/ that many people - but i'm a little OCD and needs things consistent lol.
I was in a BP of 10 BM and 10 GM and we all wore the same dress, same color and it looked really nice therefore I can see when it gets to be a larger BP you have to be careful.
The one i was in where we had all different style dresses but same color, length and designer there were 4 BM and 2 MOH's (the 2 MOH's had totally different dresses then the rest of us but were the same as eachothers).

i think if you picked 3 different dresses and had your sisters in the same dress, cousins in the same dress and friends in the same dress... that would look really really cool

Lol that might have been me that said that.. I didn't mean to scare you.. I just am OCD and I have this thing about consistancy.. I think that it might take attention away from the bride if there are too many girls and there is so much going on with the bridesmaids dresses.
I was in a wedding once that was the same dress but everyone wore a different color.. She chose yellow, lavender, baby blue, pale pink, coral and sage green, and it actually ended up looking really nice in the pictures... The consistancy of the same dress made everyone look clean cut and didnt take attention away from the bride but was unique in its own way.
I think you can still get away with the different dress thing, just might want to try and keep everything the same length at least

I would def keep same lengh. Worked out because my bridal party wanted short.
I just think it looks clean and neat.

haha. That's okay!! I could use all the input i can get before it could become an issue. I want to make sure i know exactly what i want before I go shopping with my girls.
btw. . . .i saw the pic of the cookie from when you asked your girls to be your bridesmaids. I did the same thing!!!! haha. they are very cute!

I was in a big bridal party once were we had all different lengths and all of us wore short but 2 out of the 8. Looked a bit odd in the pictures. I am having 6 girls different styles but same fabric and color. I want my girls to be comfortable especially with different body types but I also want some sort of consistency...

I agree with the other girls, that you should keep them all one length. My bm dresses are all going to be different there are 9 for them to pick from they will all have the same colors and fabric, but will give each of them their own personality!!!!!!!!

personally, I do not think the number of girls matters
buttt, I do think they length needs to be the same, otherwise it might look a little messy
I happen to love the idea of BMs wearing what they want and this is what I plan on doing
