I have not yet picked my color scheme but I am curious to know if any of you chose colors based on the time of year or time of day that you got (or are getting) married. People keep asking me and I think I would choose darker colors for a night time wedding in the winter versus a day time wedding in the spring.

not me. I was going back and forth between apple red and periwinkle blue. People did make comments about it being spring and suggested that I use a pastel pink, like my flower girl wore, or even a gold tone.
I chose the red because I decided to use roses. I knew that there weren't blue roses, so that was the deal cincher for me!

I chose my color (burgundy) because I love the color! I was a MOH a few years ago and that was the color dress I wore. It was gorgeous in pictures and in person.
It also happens to go with my fall theme

Not at all! My wedding was a night wedding, in the end of September... I had light pink tea length dresses.

My wedding date is for LIW purposes but has yet to be chosen. Odds are it will be a winter wedding in 06 (Feb/March) and we arent sure if it will be Saturday night or Sunday afternoon. If I had Saturday night, I may go for a cherry red. If I had Sunday afternoon, I would choose champagne. I have no clue but people keep asking. At least FMIL is.

IMO! time of day has nothing to do with the color scheme. honestly, it's your day.

Oh that I know but I like light colors in the day time and dark colors at night. Maybe the decor of the room could be a factor as well. I think I think too much. I need a drink.

Everyone in the family likes champagne which would be nice if any of them were in the bridal party. though I guess the toughest to please (MOM) would be the only one that would matter. She loves champagne. I could see her in a champagne dress with loads of crystal bugle beads - beads are her M-O.
