to me food was one of te most important issues... i had a few rules and if the hall couldn't accomidate those needs i wouldn't book it.

If the food was absolutely non-edible, I would re-book, but if it was decent not spectacular, I could live with it.

I was actually wondering about tastings yesterday ... if you don't do a tasting before you book the hall, how far in advance do you typically do the tasting?

My RH said I could come in any time after August (my BM is on vacation most of this month). I actually decided I would prefer to go in after the holidays-closer to the wedding. I figured there is more of a chance of a change of chef(s) or menu if I leave more time in between.
If it's God awful (which I doubt) I would re-book elsewhere if it's decent/ok I would deal with it. I do hope it's fabulous!
