SPIN OFF to JBC's thread-guests inviting themselves!?

ok to spin off... have you have bumped into someone you haven't seen in a while (but talk to via myspace or facebook) and they invite themselves to your wedding??

I bumped into this guy I went to HS with... who's not all there ( ) at his job (grocery store) and he asked me how wedding plans are going and everything then asked if he was invited and wanted to know when the invite was coming... I had to tell him he wasn't invited... he was clearly upset, but played it off like he was joking.. but I knew he was serious!

I had FH's 2nd cousin tell me she couldn't be a BM because she was one in another wedding on the same day... I never asked her. FMIL told her that when SHE gets married I should be her MOH (double )

my HS friend who now lives in Japan asked me on FB when the wedding date was and said she will do her best to try to make it.

i ignored the FB post

i kinda feel bad because she's a nice person, but i really don't talk to her ... i did see her about a year ago when our other friend got married, but before that, i hadn't seen or spoken to her in years (except the occasional FB stupidity)!

I've had guests invite guests that weren't invited. I thought the outer envelope was clear enough and didn't want to spell it out by writing the number in..esp after someone on here mentioned that they wrote 2 and since the lady's husband couldn't come, she invited her granddaughter.

This has been a pain.

11'er crashing - regarding our e-party

My uncle sent me a message via FB TELLING me that his 2 sons (my cousins) were bringing dates.

My cousins are 33 and 35 - he also TOLD me this a week before the party (its this saturday).

Meanwhile the RSVP date was Feb 6th and both invites to the counsins did not say 'XXX & Guest'

But I squashed that real quick and they are NOT coming with guests.

I have had 1 co-worker do it and 4 aquaintances so far and NONE of them are invited. I just smile and walk away. They will realize when they do not receive an invite that they are not invited. I had to delete people from fb because they were asking where their save the dates were.
