spin off to just a suggestion...

I have another suggestion I would like to make....

to everyone that has not picked a favor for their wedding- please consider making a donation to a charity instead

When things happen like Hurrican Katrina, other charities suffer-

Most people don't even keep the favor- unless it's my Grandma who puts then in her china cabeniet-

it's just a thought- If you need more infor about FM me- I am doing this as my favor

I completely agree with you.

We had decided on doing this a few years ago after we went to a friend's wedding and were given scrolls that said 'A donation has been made in your name to X charity.' We were so impressed and actually saved the scrolls - unlike all of the other personalized favors that we've thrown away over the years.

thank you! I am donationing to the lukemia and lymphoa society - to honor my Mom who passed away last year

everyone who I have told this loves the idea!

I think it's a great idea, I am doing that too.

My FH father passed away of a heart attack, so a way to honor him we thought would be to donate to American Heart Association, we are giving a heart shaped cookie along with the scrroll, hope it comes out nice.

I agree. I am truly considering making a donation to the ASPCA in lieu of favors. I don't think FILs are going to like the idea too much - they are obsessed with favors (don't like edible favors either!)

Really ASPCA would appreciate and use the donation way more than my guests would use their favor!

We just 'ordered' our favors the other day. We're giving out the Lance Armstrong LiveStrong bracelets, to honor my FH and our family members who have had cancer. Our $$ goes to charity and the guests have something tangible to take home with them.
