spin off to lindsay maries 'Horrific wedding day limo experience' post

Obv the majority of brides on here know what company she was speaking about.
Most of us have dealt with them and have had a number of not-so-good experiences.
IMHO I think the ONLY reason they stay in business is because they are a bit 'cheaper' then other companies AND because they tend to have the 'newest' thing in limos. (ie their barbie pink stretch bug with jacuzzi-- because every bride needs that on their wedding day )

I had an issue with them while looking for a limo for prom. I've shared that story on here SEVERAL times.

the reason I'm posting this is to ask Ron, Kim and Liz what can we do, as brides-to-be, to help warn other brides-to-be about a lot of the 'problems' associated with them, because not only are they vendors, they're also diamond card vendors...

Do threads really get pulled if a vendor is 'bashed'? I've heard yes and I've heard no.. I would like to hear from you guys- please?

maybe some brides-to-be wouldn't mind sharing their stories?

I'll start:

limo browsing for prom 2002, I'm the only 18 year old among my closest group of friends. We all save up our own $$ to get a limo for prom. 4 of us pile into my friends car and drive to their location. we are greeted by a slimy looking man who asks us to come inside, so we do. We ask for pricing and once inside and away from other customers we are told, using 'baby voices' 'why don't you girls go get mommy and daddy'... the man AND the MANAGER spoke to us like this! they didn't believe I was 18 and could sign the contract... even though I SHOWED them my ID.

we left, I ended up going with a different company, but my friends used THEM... and had a HORRIBLE time. the limo driver was late picking them up, tried to make them leave prom early to drive to NJ (they were staying in seaside heights) when they said no he came LATE to pick them up from the prom, gave them lip the entire way to NJ and ignored their requests to pull over for a 'pee break'. then the following afternoon he was supposed to return to NJ to pick them up and never showed, they called the manager who said they were rude to the driver and need a new way home... one of their mothers had to leave work early and drive to NJ to get them.

also, at the last showcase we were looking at buses and hiked (in the rain) all the way to the back of the parking lot where their monster of a couch bus was parked (it had to be there, understandable... but what happened was inexcusable)
we go to the bus and I asked 'may we come inside and look?' the driver replied 'your the bride, princess, you'll get your way' --- really really RUDE!

then my mother asked why he didn't have the music on, he replied 'can you imagine listening to that sh!t they call music all night? i'm listening to the game'.. REALLY??? REALLY?? you think i'm going to book your smelly, stained, torn, gross party bus with YOUR attitude!?

yea... I am like ANTI- emm and vee!

so ladies, maybe you'll share your stories (good are welcome, I'd love to finally hear something good about them)

i have no stories but check on the post here where CS explains why they pull certain posts

i do wish there was something we could do ... or at least, remove bad vendors from the Diamond Card because that honestly looks bad for LIW too!

Like always... I am clueless. I want to know who these people are. Hopefully not my vendor...

I actually didn't hear these horror stories until AFTER I booked with them. I was a mess worrying before the wedding.

They called me 2 weeks before to let me know the antique car I wanted was in the shop and wouldn't make it to my wedding. I knew this was a chance I took booking an antique car though. I picked another one.

Thank God it was fine that day. They were on time, the cars were great and I loved the drivers. They did, however charge us an extra $100.00 for OT which I think is a joke. Especially since I didn't get the car I originally wanted.

After the wedding, it wasn't worth the fight. I was all to thankful that things went well. I wouldn't book with them again though. It's not worth the stress.

No. There is an entire post by Ron explaining why threads get pulled. It was posted hours ago.
