I ordered my STD the dates early and was so excited that I couldn't wait to send them. So I sent mine a few months ago.

If I had waited, I would probably be sending them around now, with 9 months to go.

I have them but didn't send them out yet. We are still waitiing on some addresses and then we are going to print them onto the envelopes and then we are going to send them out!

i just sent them out at the beginning of the week.. so it's right around the 9 month mark.

Still working on them but hoping to have them out in the next couple of weeks. I believe that 6-8 months prior is the norm, so we are all still good.

STD were the first things I ordered. I got magnets from Vista print.

I was going to send them at the 6 month mark in April.

We decided not to send out STDs, but we are having a pretty small wedding and everyone pretty much knows the date already!

I sent ours out in Nov. A lot of people were surprised that we sent it out so early and we had to remind them that the wedding was going to be Columbus day

some checklists for this vary...I've seen a checklist say save the dates should be sent 6-8 months in advance and others that say 12-18 months in advance. I'm shootin for 8 month mark...so it's not so long of a period they forget but not so short a period in between invites that its a waste. I ordered and approved and they should be here within 2 weeks. I'll send out within 1 week of recieving.
