spinaround sound

I used Spinaround Sound for my wedding a few months ago. I was really happy with the way things worked out. My parents wanted me to get a band but my fiance and I were hooked on getting a DJ. Tom and the guys had everyone on the dance floor and there was not too much MCing which we were happy about. We gave him a lot of requests and understandably he didn't get to play all that I wanted to hear. Tom played music to make everyone happy and my parents were pleasantly surprised. I think you just have to tell the DJ specifically what you want and don't want and give him some room to play what he thinks will work the crowd!
My fi wanted Irish favors but I chose to create family recipe cookbooks instead.

Maybe I missed something, but all I've really seen on this site is nothing but hype and positive things being said about Spin Around Sound. From what I recall, there was one post that claimed at the end of the wedding they were satisfied just came away feeling a little empty. That's not really bashing to me, and they seemed to have a right to be a little disappointed, based on what was said.

Let's just all keep in mind, since it seems an overwhelming amount of people here have used or are using Spin Around Sound, it almost seems likely there will be someone somewhere that might come away a little less than exstatic from the performance they recieved. But if the majority of the people are still raving...that should say something about the company.

I think you missed my point JacquieC. There certainly is a lot of hype for Spin Around Sound on this board, and there is nothing wrong with that. It's great for the company that they have developed such a following, and it shows they have pleased many people.

I just don't like to follow the crowd, and ended up finding someone who we meshed with better in the initial meeting. I wanted the decision to be our decision, and not one based solely on all the positive comments posted on this board. Believe me, choosing the dj was not the easiest decision for us, we had narrowed the search down to 2 and got stuck. We had a very hard time deciding which way to go, but in the end, we went with what was more comfortable for us. That is the point.
