You know, I don't remember. I do remember getting all choked up, and just lying there with my head on his shoulder. He said something like, 'it's ok, you don't have to say it back'. But I think I did eventually say it back, once I was able to get the words out.

my relationship with FH was my first real mature (emphasis on mature) relationship with anyone. I was kind of surprised when he said it to me and I wanted to make sure of how I felt about him. I didn't want to just throw love around. I knew he was one I wanted to be with me for a long time.

No, only because I was really shocked to hear it. He said something like 'I think I am falling in love with you.' I loved him back, but was too shocked to say anything.
