Spinoff: Do you guys leave the TV on for your pets?
I always feel bad about leaving Max home with no company. FMIL leaves the TV on for her dogs, and FH thinks its ridiculous. I did leave Animal Planet on for Max once...

I don't leave on the TV. There are 3 of them (cats), so I figure they can entertain themselves. Though, I did hear of a pet spa that has videos for the dogs to watch that are specifically designed to be watched by dogs.

My parents not only leave the tv on for their dog every time they leave the house, they leave it on Animal Planet!!

When iw as growing up, we always left a radio on for the cats when we left.
I never left anything on for Hershey because she's deaf!!
I am big on leaving a certain amount of lights on when we go out/away for the dogs & I think DH thinks I'm nuts.

My mom leaves the radio on for the bird. When my dog was a puppy she used to turn the TV on when we weren't home (don't know if it was an accident or not).

Yes, I leave the Disney Channel for my African Gray parrot, Elvis. They are very intelligent birds and they need stimulation.

my kitty could care less about tv.. if she did like it, I 'might' consider leaving it on for her (though FH would probably kill me)
nah, Mia's just into the normal cat stuff .. eating, sleeping and seeing what piece of furniture she can dig her claws into next

There is also a line of tapes out for cats called 'Cat Nip' tapes. I have never seen them, but they are suppose to keep the cat entertained.
