Okay, for all that registered for Dyson, give me some insight as to why they're so great, I had no idea that so many registered for them! I think my parent's may even have the yellow one, but they are like, $500! Did anyone get one off their registry???

i am so registering for one. i didn't have a shower yet - but i hope someone gets it for me!!!
a friend of mine has one - and it is so strong it sucked up the corner of an old rug!!!! it ripped it up!!!! that is AMAZING!!!

I just got the Dyson for my shower!!!! The purple one for animals....although I don't have any animals, but I love purple and hope to have a pet someday.
I haven't used it yet, but I've always wanted one cause I hear it's phenomenal!

My FH's aunt has one and she says 'it really sux'!! Seriously it's so strong, it really picks up everything! We're def registering for one!!
I think the difference is the purple one is for pets, to pick up all the extra stray hairs, and the yellow one is just regular. FH's aunt has the purple one bc she has 5 cats!!

It is just a really strong vaccuum. I HATE vaccuuming so I wanted something that would get the job done quick - cause I hate having to go over the same spot repeatedly.

OK!!!! I LOVE MY DYSON... IT IS THE PURPLE ONE FOR ANIMALS...
I did a test when I first got it (I COULDN'T WAIT FOR REGISTRY... I BOUGHT IT)
We vacuumed with our old vacuum and then RE-Vacuumed with the dyson... and I am sorry... IT WAS DISGUSTING how much dirt the thing picks up... We vacuum our appt 2 times a week now... its insane... My FH LOVES to Vacuum now!!! He does it every time... I say GET IT b/c your FH will love to use it!!!!
My Co-worker and I are so obsessed w/ our Dysons, we compared dirt pics after vacuuming...
WE ARE SICK and you will be too after getting one!

I think it's kinda heavy but I haven't put it together yet.
Though it's a lot of money, I registered for that and for Calphalon pots and pans ($600).
My aunts and cousins chipped in for the vacuum and my BM's (9) chipped in for the Calphalon.
People like to chip in and get things. So, though it's a lot of money, you may get it from a few people.
I'm very excited about it!

Hi Ladies, i have some insight, hope it helps! Yellow one has more accessories than the purple one. I have the purple one, and i think there are pleanty of accessories. I've been through several vaccuums before this one & it is by far the best. To me its as good as having a central vaccuum-very very strong suction power.

There are two purple animal ones. ONe is $600 and one is $500, do you know what the difference is. I keep hearing about these vaccuums!

i have the purple one. the difference between the purple and the yellow one (besides price) is that the purple one is for animals. it has a special attachment that helps with pet hair. they are a bit heavy but you don't notice it when you're pushing it around. it's AMAZING!! it works well on carpets, rugs, and hardwood. it doesn't have bags or any of that sort of nonsense and the canister where the dirt goes is clear so you can tell when it's full.
