(Spinoff from Irishbride's post) Question for all the brides: What did you forget to have done or what would u have done differently on your wedding day?

Maybe it was something simple or something big but please share so it won't happen to another bride. TIA

I loved my day and would not have changed anything BUT look up where this post has been asked (I think I even asked it at one point-it is asked in different ways every so often) on the Bride Review or Newlywed board -- lots of good advice there. Mainly things U and DH set the tone of the day. Noone will notice that the flowers are not high enough or that the cake is the wrong shade of pink but happiness is infectious. One lovely thing my groom had us do is walk around and say Hi and Thanks to each vendor at the start of the night -- I think it made us real people to them as opposed to just another gig. Being polite got us so much good will that everyone knocked themselves out to make it special for us. I loved havving a day-of coordinator and Elaine DeLuca was a lifesaver in many ways. Last, having amazing vendors like John at FM and NYC Swing, and Peter Schneir of regal all were a major part of the day's success. I hope this rather rambling note is of some help and good luck.

everyone had such a great time, and everyone said how happy we looked, so I would like to think I wouldn't change anything...BUT if I HAD to....

I'd have a much smaller guest list (we had 250) so I could spend more than 1.5 seconds with each person

I'd leave a lot more time for pictures so I could attend my cocktail hour and at the reception I could dance and enjoy it more without being pulled out

And I would have NO bridal party at all

I know that this has been asked before but we have new brides every weekend and this gives them a chance to participate as well.JMO

Agreed -- I was only suggesting that in addition to reading the answers here - you check out some of the old posts because there is good advice in both places.
