Are you guys also sad that your dating anniversary will become a secondary date after you are married? I feel like June 28th will always be special (our dating anniversary) but after June 3rd, it wont be celebrated anymore.
What do you guys think?

Re: Spinoff from MrsK's Anniversary thread
Well in our case, our dating anniversary is 4/22, and our wedding is 4/29 so.....not a big deal. We shall celebrate the entire month of April!

Good idea! June will be our anniversary MONTH!

I think I'm more upset that I've put 6 years into it and now we have to start back at 1????

I agree... Though our anniversarys are only a week apart so maybe we'll just average it out and celebrate on the 10th...

I actually think it is nice to have different anniversaries..
They way that I look at it- it's not like each one you need an over the top celebration.. but, rather they are days where you make sure you celebrate your love for each other.
Go out and make sure you have a nice romantic dinner together on the anniversary of your engagement; do something nice for each other on your dating anniversary, etc.

Re: Spinoff from MrsK's Anniversary thread
This just came up for me! My hairdresser asked me on Saturday how long I've been with FH and I was like 'oh, it'll be three years in October.' Then it hit me - my annivesary is next week!!! With all the wedding talk of April 3rd, April 3rd, I totally forgot about our anniversary. I think we're going to skip it or maybe just go out to dinner. So weird!

I feel that way too. I want to celebrate both, especially since our dating is July 4th, a holiday.
