Re: Spinoff from WhatNows thread - POST your babies or baby-to-be NAMES

I haven't really thought about what I'll name my children, I'm so not ready for that part of life yet.
Anyway, I just wanted to chime in with some wacky (IMO, not meant to offend) names that I've heard.
In my neighborhood growing up there were two sisters named Liberty and Justice. Not that strange I guess
My mom works in a school where there are too many new names to list some of my favorites that she's told me are:
Clinique, yes, like the beauty products
Famale, but it's pronounced female, a female named female.
And the best to date Myown pronounced like 'my own' and it's a boy. What was his mother thinking?

Re: Spinoff from WhatNows thread - POST your babies or baby-to-be NAMES

Irish Tracy-

Róisín is one of my favorite Irish names. But since it's one of the less known names in this country, I know she'd forever walk around correcting people. I did that my whole life with my maiden name so I couldnt do it to my child. But I love alot of those names on your list.

I also like Finn alot but DH nixed it. And He's the Irish one !!!

Re: Spinoff from WhatNows thread - POST your babies or baby-to-be NAMES

Jacob Kyle or Jacob Ryan or Jacob Ian (for short, Jake) for a boy

Kylie Jill or Carolyn Jill for a girl..... Maybe Isabelle as a middle name. FI loves that!

I love those names!

Re: Spinoff from WhatNows thread - POST your babies or baby-to-be NAMES

We both loved Kayla and decided on it years ago. It took until I was pregnant to realize it cannot be used with our last name- too silly. We have a Annalise. The other name on our list (to decide after looking at her) was Nicole. Another name on our short list was Kiana. I would like the next baby to be Avery. I'm not sure if DH loves it yet.
If we had a boy he would have been:
Andrew James or Nicholas.

Re: Spinoff from WhatNows thread - POST your babies or baby-to-be NAMES

STERLING SILVER??? I guess they want their child to be a stripper when she grows up.

I went to school with a boy named Mooney. Which is not bad but then I found out his brother was named Sunny and his sister was named Dawn which kind of made it funny.

Re: Spinoff from WhatNows thread - POST your babies or baby-to-be NAMES

Great names everyone. I say we have the best Mommy minds here

Nancy - I wanted Antonio at first too, that's my Dad's middle name, but Len preferred Anthony.

Back to 'other' names, LOL - I knew a set of sisters named 'Princess' and 'My Belle' These were NOT their nicknames. What was their mother thinking?

Re: Spinoff from WhatNows thread - POST your babies or baby-to-be NAMES

We have no names picked out yet, but as a teacher, I have come across some weird names. I've had a student named Wonderful and a girl named Virgin who got pregnant in ninth grade. There is an African-American girl named Darky in my school and we had a girl named Gloribee, who was named after her mother, Gloria (get it? Glori - A and Glori-B). There was also Princess and Hemieda (pronounced Hah-MEN-day).
