Just answered the thread about how I met FH and how he proposed, and it got me thinking - did any of you propose to FH?
I just to threaten FH that I would propose to him if he didn't hurry up and do it already. We were dating 5 years when he asked me.

I did but way after he proposed I bought his wedding band and decided to propose to him with his wedding band I played I am down on bended knees by Boys II Men and had candles going and as he walked up the stairs and opened the door I was on bended knees asking him to marry me

I did!! I got tired of him waiting to be able to 'financially afford it'. wasnt waiting 10 years for the proposal lol

I've never proposed to him but before we started dating I asked him out and was rejected by him twice! We were good friends. He finally asked me out a couple months later.

I haven't, but a 'friend' of mine is considering it. She's expecting a ring on her birthday (March) and a mutual friend told me that if he doesn't, she's thinking about doing it herself.
Theres a lot more to this story, but I feeel like i am living a soap opera.

I was going to wait till he got home from work, but I was on the phone with him, mentioned i had something i wanted to ask him, he kept asking what, and I finally said
'will you marry me?'
He paused for about 15 seconds
'eventually'
'I'm serious, will you marry me?'
Silence for another 30 seconds.
Took a couple of days to talk him into it.
Havent gotten him a ring, we wound up getting a ring for me, I love it, but there was a lot of 'you arent engaged until there is a ring', so we got one, and he officially proposed.\
We had had a similar conversation before, where i asked him if he wanted to get married, he responded yeah, I responded 'I mean to me'. The end of that convo was him saying he already considered us engaged.
