Spinoff: Make-up trials...what should I do?

I am in my cousins wedding and I was thinking of booking my trial then...it is May 6th so I figured I would kill 2 birds with one stone but I am not sure if that will work for 2 reasons...

1. Will a make-up person do a trial early in the morning??
(I would obviously need it early before pics & hair and stuff and I am in Brooklyn, they would most likely have to travel to me.)

and

2. Is May too late for me to have trials?
(Should have someone booked by then? I feel like 6 months is too late or am I being too anal?)

TIA!

I don't think 6 months is too late. I actually think that's a perfect time frame.

And, I don't see why they would not come. you're still paying them. clue me in...is a trial cheaper than the actual day of? if so then I can see your concer but it won't hurt to ask. You might have to go to them though. For example, go to their store or something.

I know some makeup artists will only do trials at certain times of the day because they reserve the best times (ie weekend mornings) for clients that are higher paying.

But if you can get it done when you actually need your makeup done, I would definitley try to.

I had a similar question to yours regarding hair trials, so I'm wondering too. I'm a bridesmaid in my friends wedding in June, so besides it being high season its also a sunday and not many shops are open on sundays. I already called my regular place and their closed. I'm sorry that really wasn't much help but I had the same concerns.

My trial was at 7 am. I think because you are not getting married during peak season, 6 months before mthe weeding should be enough time for you. If it were a summer wedding then I would think it would be cutting it close.

i would not even tell them it is a trial
just go and get you're hair and make up done that day and if you like it then book it..

dont they charge more when they know it is a trial ????
