Once your married.. who's health insurance at you going to go under?
Since I work for non-profits our pay stinks but the benfits are AWESOME! Fh will be coming under mine.

FH is in FDNY and he has great benefits. I am actually under his now, because we are domestic partners!
HOw do you do this? How long do you have to live together? We've lived together for almost a year. Can we do it??

we work for the same company... the part that stinks is we would choose to change to married under him, cause his salary is lower and then we would pay less BUT since my birthday comes before his in the calendar year, we have to go under me and pay more

I have healthy NY for myself and FH has good insurance through work. I will probably be going on his plan after we get married but I actually think mine may be a little cheaper. He has to find out the rates for both of us.

Im already under his as a domestic partner and he is already under my dental and vision as a domestic partner so no change.

We are going to stay separate---he has amazing coverage (pays $0 a month) but doesn't cover spouses....mine is fine for me so we'll both stay where we are.

We're going under his for Medical/prescriptions (he works for pharma company) and mine for dental and vision. It works out to be much cheaper...

Hahahaahha...ummmm...right now FH is a contract worker, so he's on Cobra. Right now I work for my mom and she can't afford to pay for me, FH and FSD on the insurance plan I'm on.
If FH doesn't have a permanent job by the time we get married, he'll get one and we'll go under his.
