Hey, I was just wondering...is it harder to get a teaching job if you only have a masters in Elementary Ed as opposed to having both undergrad and masters? Right now, I'm doing undergrad Elementary Ed, but I am debating on switching to Psych and then just getting my masters in Elementary Ed. I know how competitive teaching jobs are on Long Island, so basically my question is, does it matter when it comes time to look for a job?...
hope this makes sense, TIA!

i don't think it would make any difference in getting a job....but it would probably make a difference in getting into a graduate program! i think it would be easier to get into a ElEd masters program if your bachelors is in eled.., otherwise you might still have to take some pre-requisite coursework.
