Spinoff of the Joint Acct Post

If people make out the checks to Mr. and Mrs. Hablahblahblah and I'm not changing my last name, do the checks need BOTH of our signatures? Can I sign my name even though it won't be 'Rebecca Hablahblahblah?'

Just one signature is good. We have a joint account now and the money we got for our engagement party was written out to us and we only needed one signature. hth

yup all you do is sign it and he can deposit - as long as the check is not more than $500
