Even before I was engaged I always insisted on going to Bora Bora for my HM. However, FH does not think we can afford it because we heard it was ridiculously priced....so I am curious, those of you who went/are going to the Bora Bora/Tahiti/Moorea area, where did you stay, and if you don't mind sharing how much was your total trip? I hope we can afford to make my dream come true!

Re: Spinoff of Travel Agent for Tahita/Greece
We are in the process of booking our honeymoon so I can't give any prices yet, but I wanted to recommend going to a travel agent and getting books from various companies. I have a book from Islands in the Sun that has package deals value vacations. I'm not sure what your budget is, but the packages range from $999 to $2699 per person. The ones with Bora Bora included are on the more expensive side, but there is one that is only Bora Bora for $1579 per person. Hope that helps!

I think we are paying $11K-12K for a total of 13 days and 12 nights
That includes stays on Bora Bora (premium overwater bungalow), Moorea (beach bungalow), and Tahiti (junior suite)
Air fair from NY to LA and then LA to Tahiti
Breakfast and dinner for our stay at Bora Bora (7 nights)
Some activities - i think snorkelling and swimming with the dolphins - and one more thing i cant remember.

Thanks so much! Wow so we could probably swing it. We are only going for 6 or 7 days b/c FH cant take off work too much and is not a beach person. Did you use a travel agent?

Re: Spinoff of Travel Agent for Tahita/Greece
we are going on a 12 night cruise to all the polynesian islands. this was the most cost effective way to do the trip for us. it is costing us $8200 for airfare, cruise and all meals. the only thing extra is excursions.
