When I saw Marymoon's post, I remembered that one of the reasons we went with our hall is because they said they would provide sugar-free cookies for those in my family who are diabetic during dessert. We just have to let them know where the diabetics are sitting.
Great idea. My mother has diabetes and has absolutely NO ZERO ZILCH self control when it comes to desserts. She eats all the wrong things and it is a huge concern. Another reason why we wont do a Viennese Table/Hour. The temptation could kill her. Every family gathering either has fruit or a sugar free alternative and she always goes for what she shouldnt have. Breaks my heart.
Thanks for bringing that up. I hadn't even thought about it, but FH's dad is diabetic, so that might be something we look into as well...
Actually, I had also planned on getting sugar free pastries from Cafe Napoli for them as well - but the last time I passed by they were closed....does anyone know of anyplace else to get sugar free pastries?
