Spinoff on Maggie Post..

I have nothing but good experiences on this site until now...

First of all it was a joke, and just because you spent alot of money on your dress doesnt make you more pickier than others who haven't. There is probably other things that I got for my wedding that prob will blow yours away. yeah I said it..

FYI I tried on expensive dresses by top designers and the cut didnt look right on me. unlike some ppl im not materialistic and look for more than a name.

Sorry for turning this nasty.. but Im not one to stay quiet why some person who doesnt know me tries to make implications.

1. Why are you taking her own opinion so personally? She didn't say anything about anyone's choice of gown except her own. She said she was picky - because SHE IS (a quick perusal of her wedding review will make that abundantly clear)! It doesn't mean that anyone else isn't picky but OBVIOUSLY if you've chosen something that she would not, then there is something about that particular object that she doesn't like that you do! WHO CARES? Someone asked for an opinion, and she gave hers. You don't have to like it, but she wasn't rude or nasty about it. There is absolutely NO NEED to intentionally try to cause drama.

2. Why should she be on LIF? THAT was rude and uncalled for.

JMO.

I don't understand your need to quote and start another thread when her original response is still in the Maggie thread. She didn't erase it, it's there.

This was childish IMO.

Many ppl vent on these boards. maybe it was childish, but I didnt agree with the quote 'some are pickier than other' and I took offense to it, especailly when my original response was a joke.

If you dont like what I wrote than dont acknowledge it, why drag yourself into it. There things I read on here all the time that I think are childish but I dont put myself into the middle of it and I just ignore it...

I'm glad EvenEdan is still here and not solely on LIF, personally.

I also don't think that there's any offense to be taken from her post, so I don't understand the need to 'call her out'.

Just as an FYI...the above poster had it right. If you peruse her review you'll quickly notice that she indeed is very picky. I'm pretty sure she didn't write that to make you feel inadequate.

Weddings understandably bring out a lot of emotions, but since she happens to be a helpful bride and her post was not condescending toward anyone it probably would have been best to deal with her directly instead of letting your anger get the best of you.

Many people vent, yes. But this is the first vent I have seen about another member. Taking things personally isn't healthy.

Let go of the anger! Trust me...the closer it gets to your wedding, the more things will upset you and if you keep taking it all to heart (yes, shocking truth, not everyone shares your taste!) you'll explode.

Well, had you taken your own advice, this thread wouldn't exist. If you didn't like what she wrote you didn't have to start a thread about it - you could have ignored it or FMed her.

Unfortunately this is the reason why there arent many past brides that frequent these boards. You cant begin to understand how useful it is to have past brides that speak from experience and help future brides like yourself. Comments like these are truly uncalled for, no matter what the situation.

As for getting involved, if you posted it for all to read, then we have every right to comment. That's what public forums are all about. If you wanted to keep it between you and evenedan, than you should have fm'ed her and kept it private.

If ppl read the whole the post than they would see that the whole 'luckily I am the only bride' was joke - implying that no one can tell at that moment that my dress is made of cheaper or less expensive material. It shoudlnt even have warranted a negative response.
