spinoff to the half up half down question I had for my FMIL:
Can the stylist make the half up half down do stay all night, or is it more likely to lose body and fall down by the end?

I think it really depends on how heavy your hair is. if you have really long thick hair, the curls will most likely not hold all night. ask your stylist to use steam rollers vs a curling iron. the curl will hold longer.

Thanks. My FMIL's hair is shoulder length and not too thick, but not very thin either.

my MOH (and sis) has pretty thick hair. she did 1/2 up 1/2 down. 1/2 way through the day her hair completely lost it's curl and body.
if you're really worried, go for the updo. no maintenance and stays put all day.

Re: spinoff on my own question
I had half up half down and it stayed from 11 am the morning of my wedding til I took it our at 3 in the morning and it was still super curly when I woke up the next morning. If they put enough spray in it sould hold.
