spinoff question, girls taking last name

Since we've been talking about name changes. Are you putting your current last name as your middle name, or dropping your last name all together?

I thought about putting mine as my middle (MAB) but I didn't think the names sounded good together. And my middle name Lea has been passed down from generations as a middle name, so I would hate to lose that.

If I took him name it would sound supid. They both start with G and end with -man. So just the two middle letters are different.

Ahhh... I wish he had a different last name. So I decided just to take his name.. Plus I love my middle name.

I want to keep my given middle name and, although I'd like to keep my last name somehow, it'll just make it a big, long mess! I'm getting rid of mine completely.

I love my given middle name and don't want to lose it. I will be getting rid of my last name completely ( and not to sad about it either).

I always knew that I wanted to take my new last name 100% but I feel like I am being a little disrespectful to my father bc I am the only child. His name will not be anymore... I think I should talk to my dad about this just to make sure its ok with him.

I'm dropping my last name all together, it would be very odd for a middle name, plus my given middle name was also my aunt's, and I wouldn't want to lose that.

*Maybe* if we have a daughter, I will try to incorporate part of my last name into her middle name. It's the only way to kind of keep it alive, since as an actual last name, it dies this generation.

I am keeping my maiden name professionally.

However, on all personal documents, I will be using my maiden name as my middle name. My initials would go from being GMS to GSM instead of GMM.

I really don't want to lose my last name - no matter how excited I am to be marrying FH, I'm not ready to give my name up!

I am keeping all names for the marriage license... I will be jennifer ann parker handwerker...the girl with the longest name ever lol...... but i am not going to officially change anything, in that sense i am keeping my last name

wait can you do that? Can i take his name on the marriage license but keep my name on everything else??
