Is it better to print the envelopes yourself or have them printed by the invitation company? I think I was quoted $1 a set (inner and outer). Is this a reasonable price?

well if compare it to free it makes more sense to do it yourself IMO...they came out great, the aggrivation factor is pretty small, the fonts are free and I printed STD envelopes, wedding envelopes (inner and outer) and 2 sided accomidation cards (w/ color maps that were the same size as my invitations and full of writing) in addition to or regular daily use and I only had to buy one printer cartridge for less than $15. HTH!!!!

I think we paid 60 cents for just the outer, we didn't have an inner envelope. I think you can probably find a better price than $1. For me it was better to have them printed, I just didn't have the patience to do them all myself. We did do a few though, and they came out nce, you couldn't really tell the difference.

Soundds reasonable to me... we were quoted $2.00 a set for inner and outer... $1.25 for just the outer (done by computer, not by hand, that was more...) and this was from a place where we got the invitations themselves at a VERY good price. but it does get pricey when you send out over a 100 invites. i am printing them out myself on clear labels... i found a nice font. i would have done them on the envelopes themselves, but i am worried ruining too many through paper jams or the ink smudging.

we got computer calligraphy from follow your heart. (liw vendor) she charges $1 per pair of envelopes (inner and outer)

I did just finally figure out how to print an envelope at work! I am so bad with computers and such. I can handle one envelope right now at work with a laser printer. Hopefully in about 6 months from now I can handle a hundred with an injet printer
