Negative. FH refused. He was forced to do so the first time, and hated it.

No bc i think men will think they HAVE to wear tuxes and i personally dont like all the men dressed alike, i like to see all the different suits...I trust my guests to dress appropriately

We put black tie preferred
A few people caught that and asked if that meant tux - we said a suit would be fine and everyone looked great. I didn't want some OOT thinking that a summer wedding means a shirt and pants![]()

I know a number of us have OOTers from all over the country and you dress differently for weddings everywhere. I went to an evening wedding just outside of Philly and it said Black Tie Prefered on the invite.

exactly... i have gone to a few weddings on sat nights and they think they can wear a summer dress (tiny)

Honestly, I know that nobody will, but, if someone did show up dressed inappropriately, I would just laugh. And make sure I got lots of pics for you girls!

I FEEL The same way, its like hey youre the one who everyone is gonna talk about dressed inappropriately, plus im have between 300-350 guests i probably wont even pay attention to 1 person not dressed appropriately
But honestly i dont see a problem with my guests not dressing up...FOr e-party we had 150 ppl and every single person came real dressed up. Men wore real great suits i was very impressed with them, lots of different styles and all lol
FH's friends are astoria and howard beach guys, these guys care as much as the girl(some worse) how they are dressed

at my cousins wedding about ummm 20 years ago (WOW) she said black tie...
her FBIL and family came all done up
as SOON as the reception started and the family pictures were done... they (everyone but FBIL) all stripped down to sweats, tees, and pj's![]()
