For those girls already married who did NOT get all their response cards in, yet people RSVP'd yes verbally... did you trust that they were really coming? How the hell did you keep track of everyone who did this?

Re: Spinoff to Celia's FMIL post
i had an excel spreadsheet to keep track of who was and wasn't coming and had a separate column for when and how they responded (via RSVP card or verbally)... everyone who said they were coming via email or phone actually did show up. i didn't have any no-shows at all.
if there is someone you're iffy about, i would just wait a week and confirm maybe?

It was really annoying, but for the people who gave us verbal rsvp's-I just wrote on a spreadsheet I had made-verbal yes or verbal no, whichever it was. I trusted that the people who said they were coming, were coming (and they did).

i didnt keep track of who responded verbally or anything like that... because i can just check the physical rsvps after to see if they did or not

If someone tells me verbally I tell them: 'That's great! Don't forget to send in your RSVP card so I can put that in for the official count!'

I trusted that they were coming. I also told them that I'd break their kneecaps if they went back on their word.
