I thought about telling the place I ordered my dress from that my wedding was actually April instead of June so my dress would come in sooner, but at the last minute I told the truth because I would afraid lying would backfire.

Just curious if anyone out there gave an earlier wear date than the actual wedding date...

Gave my real date. When I ordered it they gave me the date of my first fitting already even though it won't be until April.

i told them, and it's working fine so far (knock wood!) I'm picking it up on the 5th!

If you are going to lie, make sure you remember it! i have had girls lie when they ordered it, then use the real date to look it up. Many stores file by wedding date, so if you lie the store may have trouble finding your information. Be consistent!

i gave my real date! they said it will come in in January so thats plenty of time!

Well here is one exception of being an OOT bride... They def ordered that to be in way sooner! I told them May 29th, But I need it to bring home to NY for May 1.

They put down that my weddig was like April 15th!

I told the truth, but they lied to the designer!!!! They gave one month earlier.

I told the truth, my dress is a sample so it doesn't matter anyway haha

Hell yeah...I was too paranoid that something would go wrong not to Better to be safe than sorry!!!

for my dress i gave my real date. no problems

for BM dresses, i am telling them a few weeks earlier just to be safe!

Well none of the choices fit for me - I lied & said a week earlier than actual wedding date...
